Experts find exposed database of 200 mln users of Twitter, Weibo

MOSCOW, Aug 21 (PRIME) -- DeviceLock has detected an exposed base of data of more than 200 million users of microblog services Twitter and Weibo, DeviceLock’s founder Ashot Oganesyan told PRIME on Friday.

“Yesterday, system DLBI revealed in open access server Elasticsearch, whose indexes contained data of more than 200 million users of Twitter и Weibo: 44 million Twitter users and over 164 million Weibo users. Collected data are stored by a cluster of 21 servers. At present, the server keeps on collecting and updating data,” Oganesyan said.

The base is in open access and can be downloaded, he said.

The number of compromised Russian users is unknown.
